Truck Driver

SENIOR PURPOSE

1. The purpose of this role is to unload and load materials and equipment onto/off trucks, assure accuracy and quantity of delivered materials, place product onto appropriate storage shelves, assist in keeping a clean and organized warehouse and yard, inspect tools and equipment as they arrive at the shop from job sites, perform and schedule routine tool and equipment maintenance, and track the location of all tools and equipment

MANAGER ONCE REMOVED

1. The manager of the Truck Driver is the Warehouse Manager.

2. The manager once removed is the Construction Operations Manager.

KRAS

2. KRA #2 – Keep a clean and organized warehouse

a. Tasks

i. Unload materials, tools, and equipment as they return from job sites and place them in their locations

3. KRA #3 – Road Safety Compliance

a. Tasks

i. Comply with all vehicle safety guidelines as defined by the state and company

4. KRA #4 – Accuracy of materials, equipment, and tools sent to job sites

a. Tasks

i. Coordinate with truck driver to load semis and trucks with materials, equipment, and tools as requested by the foreman or project manager

5. KRA #5 – Tool and equipment inspection and maintenance

a. Tasks

i. Inspect and test all tools and equipment as they arrive back from job sites

ii. Perform and schedule tool and equipment maintenance as needed

iii. Update Share my Toolbox as tools and equipment are checked in and out of the shop

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School Diploma
  2. Valid driver’s license
  3. Previous experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  4. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication
  5. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  6. Attention to detail in multiple tasks
  7. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  8. Basic math skills
