Electrical Service Manager
Who we are
Halligan Electric is a family-owned electrical contractor with a 94 year history that specializes in commercial, industrial, and design-build projects throughout Michigan and Ohio.
The purpose of this role is to develop, maintain, and grow an annual service revenue of $2.0 million. The service manager is expected to sell service work, grow field talent, maintain schedules, and maintain billings while maintaining our company’s clear vision, mission, and values.
Responsibilities
- KRA #1 Safety
- Tasks/Activities
- Zero lost time accidents. This is accomplished by making sure all service technicians and service project engineers are in compliance with the company wide safety program, the safety program of respective clients and the active involvement in the safety reward and recognition program.

- KRA #2 – Profit Contribution

- Manage positive cash flow
- Monitor labor and take corrective action where necessary to ensure high levels of labor productivity

- KRA #3 – Identify, grow, develop, and maintain service technician talent to fulfill revenue requirements and ensure customer satisfaction

- Meet all work order dates (i.e., on-site, complete, invoice by) as defined by the customer
- Grow service technician talent by exposing them to different types of service projects

- KRA #4 – Customer Base Growth
- Tasks/Activities
- Grow service customer base by actively marketing and selling the services that HEI offers
- Grow service customer base by researching future opportunities
- Reach out to all contract customers during the construction phase to transition into service

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or electrical journeyman’s license (Preferred)
- 3 years’ experience in construction management
- Ability to perform electrical estimates
- Experience with McCormick estimating software (or similar software)
- Previous experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Attention to detail in multiple tasks
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
