The Halligan Story
Lakies Electric was founded in 1927 and worked throughout the Genesee County community. Jim and Debbie Halligan bought Lakies Electric from Phil Lakies in 1992 and turned the business into Halligan Electric. The business started with a gross revenue of $365,000 annually and has since grown to a gross of $20 million annually.
Halligan Electric now employs 100 full-time electricians, performs commercial, industrial, low voltage, and trenching/excavation electrical work all throughout the state of Michigan and Ohio, and is always striving to continue its growth.
In 2021, Halligan Electric proudly became a WBE certified company.
The Halligan Electric logo has been around since Debbie and Jim Halligan bought the company and renamed it from Lakies Electric to Halligan Electric 30 years ago. The Halligan Electric logo incorporates our company values and vision.

Our company values our people above all else and wants to ensure that everyone makes it home safe each night. To ensure this, our company places the safety of our people as our number one core value and encourages a speak up culture to avoid any unsafe practices.
